David was born in Columbia, South Carolina in 1968. He began his passion for art and the outdoors at a very early age. South Carolina's woods, swamps and rivers helped shape David as a Sportsman, as well as an Artist. After a day out in the woods or on the rivers, he would find himself depicting the beauty of the outdoors into drawings and paintings. These two passions began to grow and strengthen with age. David is primarily self-taught which has enabled him to find his own unique style and be true to his own vision.

David's career has moved him to beautiful locations around the United States. He has lived in the Piedmont and on the coast of South Carolina, Key West, Florida, Cody, Wyoming, Anchorage, Alaska, and currently, Livingston, Montana. He lives there with his wife, Gia and their German Wirehaired Pointer. David paints the lifestyle he leads, that of a Sportsman. When looking for him you will often find him "on location" immersed in his surroundings, never far from his subject matter. David's artwork hangs in Sportsman's collections nationally and internationally.
