Penny's extensive experience in producing events, working with celebrities, and programming content served
as the backbone for the creation of HatcH, and the HatcH Audiovisual Arts Festival known as HatcHfest (2004). In the
festival's first year, as Co-Founder and CEO/Chair, Penny attached major celebrities, film industry professionals,
major corporations and press (both national and international), including Jeff Bridges, Peter Fonda, Bill Pullman,
Michael Keaton, John Dahl, the Gary Cooper family, Joseph Fiennes, Doug Seus, Margot Kidder, Nellie McKay, Miramax,
Paramount Studios, MGM, Panavision, Gibson Guitar, B|W|R, People Magazine, The New York Times, Variety, CNN, ABC,
CBS, NBC, MSNBC, and the Associated Press among the many. As a young girl growing up in Montana, Penny was deeply
inspired by fellow Montanan and legendary film actor, Gary Cooper. In 2004, with the blessing and support of Maria
Cooper Janis, Gary Cooper's only child, Penny created The Gary Cooper Spirit of Montana Award. Jeff Bridges first
presented the award memorializing Mr. Cooper and honoring professionals in the arts to Peter Fonda.
As a recipient of Panavision's New Filmmaker Program Package and a multiple award winning student filmmaker,
Penny's passion for the arts runs deep within her heart. Within the last ten years she has worked with Sundance
Film Festival coordinating ticket sales for students from film schools throughout the United States while helping
to secure over $20 million for various creative developments, written multiple significant business-plans, started
her own businesses, and sold original art work of famous artists including Russell Chatham, Jim Poulson, Todd Connor,
and Dwayne Harty.
Along with established artists Al Feldstein (long time Editor of MAD Magazine and christener of Alfred E. Neuman),
Ed Totten, Lisa Adams, Harry Koyama, and acclaimed photographers Tom Murphy and Brad Markel, she represents new, up
and coming artists like Aaron Frohnmayer, Danni Greenwalt, and David Holiway. With a Bachelor's Degree in Film
Production and an MBA with an emphasis in Marketing, she brings energetic wisdom, business intelligence, and the
strategic knowledge needed to successfully achieve large goals to every project to which she's attached.
Having lived and traveled throughout the world, Penny has been instrumental in the creation, operation, publicity,
celebrity involvement, and sponsorship acquisition of seven major festival events, over 200 film screenings, world
premieres, live theatre performances, photography exhibits, art openings, and fund-raiser galas. Her writing has
also been published nationally and internationally and she's known for her excellence in public speaking. A strong
believer in the act of mentorship, Penny counts Robert Redford and the Sundance Film Festival as two of the greatest
inspirations and mentors in her life.
Currently, Penny serves as a consultant in large event venue planning and programming, works as a film producer,
teaches both business and media classes, and owns and operates The House of FINE ART, a high-end art gallery and
film center, Two Chocolates Productions, a film production company, and spectacular, a large event planning business
all based in Livingston, MT.
